How is marriage concluded in Oman?
In Oman, marriage is concluded by a licensed ma'zoun and officially registered after the families agree on the mahr, and official registration is what protects the wife's and children's rights.

What did the 2023 royal decree change for Omanis marrying foreigners?
Royal Decree 23/2023 abolished the Interior Ministry permit that Omanis had needed since 1993 to marry non-Omanis. The two basic conditions now: the marriage must not violate sharia or the Sultanate's public order.
That opens introductions between Omanis and Arab residents more than before. On Zawjni each member states their nationality and residence in their bio, there is no phone field, and you can report any account.
Before you write your profile
State your wilayat (Muscat, Salalah, Sohar, Nizwa...) and, if you are not Omani, your nationality in your bio, plus your marital status. Anyone open to misyar marriage should say so plainly, because Zawjni does not categorise members by marriage type.
