How is a Syrian marriage concluded and registered?
Marriage in Syria is concluded at the sharia court. A marriage performed by a sheikh outside the court needs a later confirmation (tathbit zawaj) to be registered and to protect the wife's and children's rights.
Outside Syria, marriage is concluded under the country of residence's law and then registered with the embassy or through an agent in Syria. Zawjni does not conclude marriages or issue documents.
Meeting for marriage, without exploitation
Some searches for marriage with Syrian women start from the circumstances of displacement and need, and that is not what Zawjni is built for. The site is for registered marriage between equal partners, and profiles state marital status and intention from the start.

State your current city and country (Damascus, Aleppo, Istanbul, Berlin...), your marital status and whether you would relocate. Explain in your bio how the engagement and contract would happen if the families are in different countries.
